Does Barcart integrate with Wix?
Updated over a week ago

Unfortunately, Barcart is not compatible with Wix due to Wix’s platform restrictions on external checkout options.

That said, if you have a Wix site, there are alternative solutions that can be implemented without having to replace your entire website.

To use Barcart, you’ll need to set up a separate page(s) with a different website builder and host it at a subdomain of your main website (e.g.

Here is an example of a client who experienced this same issue: Barrell Craft Spirits. In this example, the main website is powered by Wix, while the “Buy Now” call-to-action leads to a non-Wix website that’s hosted at a subdomain of the main website.

Here are our recommended options for building a page to host your Barcart buttons:

  • Wordpress: Wordpress is the most cost-efficient, light-weight path forward (free plans available) and is also a very flexible platform. It may require more development/design-knowledge to build a website, but there are also many templates available online.

    • Additional Option: For a more user-friendly, drag-and-drop design option, you can evaluate Elementor - which is a paid Wordpress plug-in that makes it easier to design websites for non-developers.

  • Webflow: Webflow is a more modern and popular website builder that is relatively affordable and comes with tools that make it easier for non-developers to design a website. (Developers often like working with Webflow, as well.)

  • Squarespace: Squarespace is often the choice for non-developer/designers who want to spin up a good-looking website quickly, but it is less flexible than the above two options. It’s worth considering if the above two options aren’t right for you for some reason.

  • Shopify: Shopify is the most capable platform in terms of ecommerce features and integrations. It also is relatively easy to spin up a simple shop and the only platform that Barcart has a direct integration with. Note that Barcart’s Shopify integration requires a Barcart Pro subscription ($299/month).
